These All America Rose Selections winners were selected in 1003. Every
year the All-America
Rose Selections (AARS) evaluate
a number of roses in 27 official AARS trial gardens across the U.S.
Their gardens represent a wide range of climates throughout the United
States, so the roses selected must do well in all of the climates. They
closely examine the hardiness, disease-resistance, novelty, and color
of its blossoms during a two-year period. Only two or three roses each
year win the coveted distinction of receiving an AARS award. For 2003:
The All America Rose Selections committee has been awarding winners since
1938. The roses above were selected for 2003 as AARS gold medal winners
