Mardi Gras, 2008 AARS Rose Winner
Every year All-America
Rose Selections (AARS)
evaluates a number of roses in 27 official AARS trial gardens across
the U.S. Their gardens represent a wide range of climates throughout
the United States, so the roses selected must do well in all of the climates.
They closely examine the hardiness, disease-resistance, novelty, and
color of its blossoms during a two-year period.
For 2008, the AARS winners include:

Mardi Gras (Floribunda)
Truly reminiscent of the carefree days of Mardi Gras, this new
Floribunda has a large cluster of flowers with bright yellow, orange
and pink hues. As a strong repeat bloomer, with a good fragrance,
Mardi Gras will likely become one of your garden favorites. In
form, this rose would be excellent as either a specimen or a small
hedge, and is very heat resistant.
