Performs exactly like its famous parent, Iceberg, in every way (except color)  same terrific flower production, bushy habit, lovely buds, showy clusters, glossy green foliage and nearly thornless stems. But 'Brother Burgundy' has the painted colors of deep purple-red burgundy & cream that are absolutely nothing like the bland whiteness of 'Mom'. Seems to always be in bloom. The buds of Claire Austin are a pale lemon opening to large, creamy white flowers. The bush has an arching habit and can be trained as a climber.

I put this in the category of uniqueness matching Hot Cocoa. Good looking glossy green leaves tell me this is a little guy I would be happy with. The smokiness comes out in the color in cooler climates. Sounds perfect for any costal community. 17-20 petals

Darcey Bussell is one of the best and most healthy red roses 'we have bred to date' according to David Austin. Its beautiful flowers are produced freely and with excellent continuity. When young, their outer petals form a perfect ring around an inner cup; gradually opening out to form a perfect rosette. The colour is a deep rich crimson that takes on a tinge of mauve just before the petals drop. It has a pleasing, fruity fragrance with hints of green notes.
