Fourth of July was the first climber in 23 years to win the coveted AARS recognition. As it climbs into the sky, it puts out big sprays of large, long-lasting blossoms. The beautiful red, pink to white blossoms are fireworks of their own, and keep putting out large volumes of blossoms all season long. It produces consitent color and is vigerous in most climates. The flowers are large, 4 1/2 inch across, with 10 to 16 petals. The are colored velvet red and striped with bright to pale white streaks. It was selected after an extraordinary three-year trial of climbers. It was hybridized by Tom Carruth and introduced by Weeks Roses. The plant is very productive and grows from 12 to 14' tall.
