Yes Roses

Some like it hot…and this is one! The luck of the Irish may have finally brought a super slow-opening yellow rose that likes the heat. This saintly yellow can pick up a touch of gold in cool weather, but he'll be wearin' the green when the temps turn up. Loads of novel chartreuse-shaded buds spiral open to yellow-gold flowers of amazing stamina. Grey-green foliage completes the picture.

Strawberry Hill bears medium sized, pure rose pink, cupped rosettes of superb quality. Their colour gradually pales to a lighter pink at the edges of the petals, eventually exposing glimpses of yellow stamens at the centre. The blooms are beautiful at all stages.

The growth is tall, vigorous and rather informal, with small clusters of blooms held on slightly arching brances. Strawberry Hill is very healthy with glossy, dark green foliage. This is a wonderful choice for a position to the rear of a mixed border, or for a border of shrub roses.

Strawberry Hill was awarded the Prix d'Honneur for fragrance from Nantes in 2007.

It's like finding a stash of doubloons. 'Strike it rich' radiates deep golden yellow blushed with a bits of ruby red. The strong fragrance suggests spice and fruit. A true Grandiflora that blooms in clusters on long stems that are suited for cutting. Great disease resistance.

Sunshine Daydream is the only rose to be chosen by the AARS as the 2012 winner. This grandiflora performed across all entries in a wide range of categories in test gardens across the US both as a grafted rose and grown on its own roots.

Sunshine Daydream has large buttercream yellow flowers that clean well. (Fall off of the plant and continue to bloom without being deadheaded)

Teasing Georgia is a yellow rose of delicate beauty; the flowers are of a particularly pleasing cupped formation. The centre petals are in the form of a rich, deep yellow cup, while the outer petals fall back and fade to palest yellow providing a most pleasing, two-tone effect.
The growth is strong but graceful, displaying the flowers nicely.
Pleasant, medium-strong Tea Rose fragrance. Good disease-resistance and repeat-flowering.
May need some summer pruning if grown as a shrub.

The Alnwick Rose is a pretty rich pink, with cup shaped buds gradually opening to a deeply cupped flower; later developing into a broad, full-petalled, shallow cup of a soft pink which is paler at the outer edges - a most pleasing progression.
The flowers are beautiful at all stages; this illustrates very well the great variety of form to be found in the Old Rose style.
'The Alnwick Rose' has nice rounded, bushy growth and produces its bloom intermittently from early summer to the onset of frost. Plentiful green foliage ideally complements the flower.
There is a good Old Rose fragrance with just a hint of raspberry.

The Generous Gardener is a rose of delicate charm -its flowers being beautifully formed; their colour a soft glowing pink at the centre, shading to palest pink on the outer petals. When the petals open they expose numerous stamens, providing an almost water lily-like effect.
It has strong, elegantly arching growth with polished dark green foliage.
