Finding the type of rose that's right for your garden

The wide variety and types of roses we offer can be a bit overwhelming. Here is a quick introduction to the various types of roses available. Regan Nursery carries more than 1000 types of Grade 1 roses.

Here are the different types of roses we offer.

Hybrid Tea Roses-

Hybrid Teas Roses are tall, elegant plants producing the classic long-stem rose. They produce individual blossoms and flower repeatedly during the season. Hardy in zones 4-9. Hybrid Tea Roses are a Cultivar Group of roses, created by cross-breeding two different types of roses. Grown one flower to a long stem, they are supported by long, straight and upright stems. Hybrid Tea Roses can be as tall as 6 feet. Each rose bloom can be up to 5" in diameter. Hybrid Tea Roses are one of the world's most popular types of roses due to their color and flower form. Their long stems make these roses popular as cut flowers.

Floribunda Roses-

Floribunda roses are ideal for borders or containers. With a cluster of flowers topping each stem, Floridbunda roses provide an almost constant show of color, and bloom more freely than hybrid teas and grandifloras. Floribunda roses are lower growing and hardy in zones 4-9 (with proper protection).

Grandiflora Roses-

Grandiflora roses are another of our customer's favorite types of roses. Tall elegant plants that bloom repeatedly during the season, they generally feature clustered blossoms with stems which are slightly shorter than those of hybrid tea roses. Grandiflora roses are hardy in zones 4-9.

Climbing Roses-

Climbing roses are one of our customers' favorite types of roses. They add grace & nostalgia to any garden. From the classic tea rose to the charming country garden blossom, use them on walls & fences, pillar & post, trellis or entrance way. An added bonus is that they require very little pruning. Almost all are repeat bloomers unless noted.
