Lady Emma Hamilton™ - Ausbrother

Rosa English Rose

A most unusually-colored member of the Austin clan...fat buds of deep polished ruby red open to fully double cupped flowers of soft gold swirled & kissed with touches of tangerine & blushes of pink. Each full flower is redolent with an intense fruity fragrance. Dark red stems & dark red-green leaves also set her apart in the family. Very reminiscent of ye ol' beloved Talisman in color.

Interesting Notes:

Lady Emma Hamilton was Horatio Nelson's lover and the name was given to this rose to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar. For more on Lady Hamilton watch the great 1941 movie "That Hamilton Woman" starring Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh. Certainly romanticized, none the less excellent, with a bag of extra buttery popcorn and your love beside you!
