One of the best climbers to come out of our testing grounds of Pennsylvania. Extremely underrated on the West Coast so far. - maybe because its great disease resistance and winter hardiness features are less appreciated. It is still one of the most prolific bloomers and will hold well in the heat as well as in the vase.

BIG monstrous buds & blossoms of rich pink (not too gaudy nor too pale) have an inner glow of golden yellow. SUPER broad round petals lend a classical flower form, slowly spiraling open from pin-point centers to full plentiful pulchritude. LARGE luxurious leaves of unusual light green color dress the bushy plant, perfectly complimenting the radiant pink blooms. LONG stems are perfect for bouquets, but it won't take many of these big beauties to fill a vase.

'Gentle Hermione' will form an attractive, rounded shrub of medium height with slightly arching stems. It has good disease resistance.

Harlow Carr has an excellent bushy habit, maturing into an attractively rounded shrub with its flowers almost to ground level making it a good choice the front of the rose bed. The new foliage is bronze at first, later becoming green.
